The mind boggles
Race Car
Re: Race Car
Used to love Transworld Sport. NHRA drag racing and European tarmac rallying ftw. Maybe where I first saw Aussie touring cars as well.
Mountain biking as well. Can't remember if it was on the same show or a show that was in that same early morning channel 4 timeslot though.

Re: Race Car
One of my friends didn't know that a drag race was a thing before Ru Paul's Drag Race. I had to explain what it was .

Re: Race Car
Whereas in the mining industry all rear tipping dump trucks are just referred to as 'trucks'. If you started talking about a dumper people would think that you needed a poo.duncs500 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 8:43 pmI can tell you that in the UK construction industry you're not likely to hear people use the word 'truck' at all, it would just be a 'dumper' whether front or rear tipping. The only exception is 25t rear tipping dumpers which tend to be referred to as 'Moxys' regardless of brand.
Also pickups are also referred to as trucks in the mining industry in this country.

Not much of one anymore.
