My original comment was definitely not an attempt to start exactly this kind of daft argument . Good work lads.

Cows milk is gross though.

Where’s everyone buying their exotic oat/almond milk from? Haven’t seen any at the supermarket.

Waitrose has about a million different types of pretend milk.

I’ve just remembered my dad used to make almond milk years ago with his fancy juicer - tasted alright. My favourite thing was just chucking frozen mangos in and getting ice cream out.

I stopped drinking milk a few years ago and promptly lost half a stone.

How much milk were you drinking??

Just a gallon of gold-top morning, noon and night?

Calorie defecit required to lose half a stone (roughly 3kg) is around 23,000. A litre of full fat milk is around 650kcal so if we take Jimmy's suggestion at face value that it was cutting out the milk that resulted in his weight loss, then we'd need approximately 35 litres of milk to account for that half a stone. If we take "promptly" to mean, say, a month... then that would suggest Jimmy was drinking 1.25 litres of full fat milk a day

Jimmy - were you in fact never weaned onto solids? ;)

Pretty much every supermarket has lots of milk options, it's just not with the cows milk in the fridge so if you weren't looking you might not have seen it.

I probably drink that much milk a day. Certainly over a pint, and getting towards 2 pints. Never broken a bone.

I drink at least 4 pints everyday, some days approaching 6 and I've never had a problem with being overweight. Aside from the half pint with my cereal, almost all of it is consumed in the evening.

A glass of wine is twice the calories of milk. So someone having 2 glasses of wine in an evening is consuming the same calories as I am, and plenty of people do that.

I was drinking a lot of coffee with milk. Cutting the one sugar in the coffee might have added to the weight loss.

Seemingly - we have people that can't stomach any form of milk but most likely still eat pizza with cheese on it and a whole shitload of other food with milk as an ingredient and then their polar opposites that basically bathe in the stuff
