Ebay sellers who put their location as "London"

Post by Sundayjumper »

It's a chuffin' big place, that doesn't really narrow it down enough.

Smaller than Scotland but despite this I found Londoners would often say "Ah you are Scottish, you must know *"

insert name of town or relative here. :)

I like when posts have the location but people ask underneath "where are you based?"

Erm - I've had people say that to me back in the day when I've told them I live in London...........

Rubbish old women normally who want to know if you know a Simon, as he lives in London. I used to say I did because I'm a dick.

Yup, and once it was a random couple in Romford and it turned out the lady they knew lived on my street and I had called her Auntie Jenny! :D

Doesn't that kind of undermine your original point? :)

Or the totally random exception that proves the rule!

Once out if the number of times I did in fact know the person but that was because they recognised my NE accent and mentioned they knew someone from what happened to be my home town.

Can we expand this to include counties? “Collect from Yorkshire” does not help me one iota. I’ve either got a walk round the corner or a 100+ mile round trip to make.

No-one cares about Northerners.

NO-ONE.

Frankly - just put the location as The North. It's all the same.

It’s when you drive 6 hours, plus traffic, up to Edinburgh, cross the river and see road signs saying “The NORTH” that you really understand the meaning of disappointment.
