Exactly.

This is the point where you get up, leave, and go and have a proper fry-up...
How on earth was I supposed to know House Beans was going to be this abomination? :o I trusted the chef, it cost £14 FFS

TBF proper homemade baked beans are amazing and I'd be impressed if anywhere made the effort for a breakfast. Those are an abomination though.

They look a bit small for butter beans. Are you sure they weren't Haricot and the chef's attempted to make his own version of baked beans?

This is just a standard "special" isn't it? The chef just using up things they have too much of. Oh we have a surplus of tomatoes and beans.... ok let's just bung them into the full English and call them something fancy, people will lap it up.

Beans, Mushrooms, Hash Browns, tomatoes (raw or cooked) and any other type of eggs can fuck right off IMO...
No potato products? I thought you were Irish!?

Surely they’ll want the clientele to continue using the cutlery provided?

We eat spuds for lunch, dinner, tea and supper - no need for them at breakfast...

A breakfast without tattie scones is a wasted opportunity.

Amen. Also add bacon, square sausage, haggis, black pudding, fried mushrooms and fried or poached eggs. Lashings of brown sauce too if you please.

If no tattie scones then hash browns are a fine substitute.

Maybe I just haven't had good versions, but in my experience hash browns and normal good quality sausages are superior to potato scones and square sausage. I'm quite happy to substitute chips for hash browns though.

Outrageous slander on the scottish breakfast. You're supposed to have both sausages

I did have a good one with haggis in once in Scotland if that's any consolation?

But I'd say Irish breakfasts tend to have better quality produce (again IME). I usually judge a breakfast on the sausages.

I don't like baked beans with a fry, or at all (except proper homemade type).

I like a cooked tomato with my fry, but I once had a fry in the cafe at Tesco and they used a canned plum tomato. :x

Love potato bread, but controversially I think Hash Brown would be my ideal potato based item for a fry, with pancakes as the bread.
