Going Out Injuries

Post by Broccers »

I know most of the posters here don't ever venture into the outdoors for fear of COVID or the Mrs.

Yesterday, bear hug from a builder, I swear down I've 3 broked ribs.

You?

I have a nice graze on the side of my head from being at the bottom of a celebratory bundle on Guildford high st on Thursday.

I've been out a lot this year and not managed to crock myself yet other than barfing on a night out. I'm sure I got spiked as I lost over 3hrs of my life and was a proper mess. Thankfully mates looked after me but I've no idea what happened over that 3hrs apart from what I've been told.

I’ve been out quite a lot this year but failed to injure myself. Do you need to take a carer, Broccers?

Had 4 pints, slept awkwardly, had almost crippling neck ache for a week after.

Not as young as I used to be.

No injuries so far this year, at least none that I can remember! Haven't even dropped a motorcycle on myself

Ooh being spiked must be nasty altho I do that to myself occasionally. The not drinking most of the time then going out and hammering it doesnt end well

I did drop the KTM Smt on myself at 5mph when it stalled on a hill and my leg gradually gave way - passers by had to pick it off me as I was stuck under it - a bit embarrassing. :D

Karate club started contact sparring again. Felt really really weird. The usual accumulation of bruises.

Yes. They made sure I was ok. I really was in a terrible state. What's PH??

Scratches and a small tooth scar from puppies. The woman with that pup pissed me off by scarpering :x It wasn't an intended bite by the pup, he just hadn't quite mastered bite force yet and unfortunately a longer tooth punctured the fleshy lump between the thumb and forefinger. Much blood, long healing time.
Wales nearly did me a mischief a couple of weeks back but that's something for fleet reports.

I’m ok on nights out, it’s when I’m sober I hurt myself

When I was 15 I tried to jump a rope fence, both feet slipped under me, I slid into the rope which ended up lodging under my arms, swinging me up in the air and dumped my entire weight on my right ankle.

I tore all my ligaments and now turn my right ankle with ease. It’s happened so many times though that what would put someone off their feet for 6 weeks I can just walk off

I don't need alcohol to properly injure myself!

I'm still sore from tripping over the trailer hitch in the workshop while carrying the welder in the dark - partially dislocated both shoulders
Weird thing is that it doesn't hurt in the shoulders at all, it's all in the elbows and wrists.

I do generally seem to be doing OK on the injury front at the moment - my only visit to A&E since the start of lockdown was opening up my hand on some razor wire (while wiring some security cameras).

I'm out for a Curry and Pints on Friday with ex-Work Colleagues - first time I've been out 'drinking' since October 2019

I expect content for this thread on Saturday...
