Especially when it’s a boss you don’t frequently work with. And they make you carry out a plan which is clearly wrong, which they can’t see, because they don’t engage fully with the problem.

This is one of the reasons I like being a contractor. You get brought in to action one of these stupid plans, get paid for 6-12 months, then f**k off before all the fallout happens.

Of course, I have been proved wrong in the past but it irks me when shit goes wrong for a patient as a result of a poor decision. I start documenting things meticulously, anticipating the coroner's court. It all seems like buck-passing and it's corrosive for team morale.

Ah. Yeah. I’d be a lot less blasé if people’s lives were at risk. I just do numbers.
