Boot Carpet stripes

Post by V8Granite »

This goes in the same category of utter wankyness as people taking pictures and getting their oversized chintzy watch in the same picture.

Bloody car detailing has a lot to answer for!!

What’s even worse is the stencils to put logos into the carpet, not just the stripes

My boot just has some rather suspect stains that I'm not willing to investigate in any depth.

Get a small wet vac. I have one of these (others are available, etc) and the amount of dirt it pulls out of the carpet the first few times you use it is properly gross.

Yeah, lifting the carpets and shampooing the interiors of cars really shows how disgusting people are

Just having a dog will do that. I never quite realised until the first time I chucked my "clean" dog in the back of the white pleather Model 3
It was totally grey after 10 minutes - fortunately pleather scrubs up easily. The black fabric interior of my Mito must be a biohazard risk after 12 years of ferrying dogs about.
How about not having a sig at all?

On the topic of dirt & smells, does anyone else here use an ozone generator ? I’ve been using one to fumigate the cars and I think it works but it’s a slow process that seems to need multiple treatments to make a difference.

I’ve heard of them but I use the biCarb and half a lemon method.

I’d heard that Ozone generators can damage rubber seals or something ?

I use AC bombs whenever there’s a bad smell, works well enough.

Only if used regularly and for long periods of time. Gently, once a year works probably be fine. An hour a week? Less good

Some modern BMW's have ozone generators on the car itself.

I open my window and shout at the teenagers to actually use some deodorant in future when there's a bad smell in the car.

My watches (all 3 of them) are 42-44mm diameter.

That. Is not oversize. (YC).

They may not be oversized but wearing three they're overdone.
