I couldn't resist posting it here - I didn't tweet anything.

Did you not tweet or did you tweet a picture of a tweet?

NFTs yes, bizarre.

Eth still up by the way.... are you all buying? Uncle Broc will make you rich.

Lloyds dividends making me rich, Broccers

And as I said before, I didn't tweet anything. That's why I used the word 'post' - I thought that sort of NFT nonsense would go well in the crypto thread.

It's an interesting concept isn't it - if you can be the first to do so and make a big song and dance of it and have several hundred thousand followers, you could destroy something valuable and create an NFT of it that doesn't actually sell instead... oh.

I really hope that someone replied offering to take a picture of that person's house, then burn it to the ground, then give them an NFT of the photo and tell them to dry 'em because the NFT is just as good as the physical asset

It’s like an insurance policy without the insurance.
How about not having a sig at all?

The whole concept is just based purely on perceived monetary value, like all crypto. Completely ignoring that fact that things have use beyond just what they're worth.

There's some very enjoyable replies on that thread, this is my particular favourite:

what's your point? That crypto fluctuates massively so you can make money if you buy and sell over a short time?

The point is if you pick your entry correctly you will make (more) money over time. You guys have time on your hands to watch and maybe say I told you so but also consider you are missing out on increasing your cash in an easy way. 8-) 8-) 8-) 100 percent up in 6 weeks for instance.

or if you'd bought November last year you'd have 1/5th of your investment. I'm well aware how it works,

I still think proof of work crypto schemes are disgusting though and don't care how much money I could or could not make on them.

Guess we all think differently!

If you delve too far into ethics of anything you buy or have bought I'm sure most things are evil 🍻😀☀️.

Still going up!

you don't have to delve at all - the entire point of proof of work is to show you've wasted resources with no actual product to show for it. How anyone could invent that when you can see every other industry on the planet trying to use less energy is ridiculous.

I'm no eco-warrior, but some things are just too dumb to support as being a good idea.

"Hey, let's waste an entire large countries electricity usage on making a number go up on a computer!"

It's a use to pay for things. Some crypto is totally useless you're right! Just in Eth ☀️

to pay for things by converting it into actual currency. That's not a use.

Transfer of Eth to other users of Eth? I really don't think you get it. 😃

Everyone gets it Broccers, crypto started out as an interesting idea but it's cons far outweigh the pros at this point.

How many more stories of pump and dump schemes and crypto bros restarting old fossil fuel powerstations to run farms is it going to take for folk to stop falling for the scam?
An absolute unit
