It's an interesting concept isn't it - if you can be the first to do so and make a big song and dance of it and have several hundred thousand followers, you could destroy something valuable and create an NFT of it that doesn't actually sell instead... oh.

I think the lines between gambling and investing are blurred at the best of times, based on perceived level of risk. Certainly crypto is closer to the gambling end of the spectrum though!

Edit: Also, HDDs are robust, but not being covered in garbage, rained on, and being packed down repeatedly robust - he's on a hiding to fucking nowhere, there's almost no chance that HDD has survived - the platters will almost certainly be fucked.
