Lavs

Post by Explosive Newt »

Is it just me, or are modern toilets getting smaller? To reduce the amount of water required per flush I guess? The missus had her bathroom done not long ago and the turd aperture is miniscule, a stark contrast to some of the high capacity crap hoppers in the older (1960s built) part of work. It's a false economy if you ask me, as I often end up flushing Mrs Newt's bog two or three times to clear persistent pebbledash that would have just gone into the water in a bigger loo.

One of my regrets when optioning the bathroom was getting a built-in unit which meant a small wash basin was installed. Water gets everywhere if you wash yer face and it gets annoying mopping up afterwards.

Trousers are getting smaller too - I put on an old pair of trousers the other day that fitted perfectly last time I wore them and now I struggle to do them up...

Always have a stick in your bathroom.
How about not having a sig at all?

I think you’ve just Spec’d it too small? We have built in units - something like 85x45cm. Plenty big.

With our new builds at the time, it's either big sink but no unit or unit with small sink and bog. It's stoopid.

I was thirsty in the night so went to the bathroom for a drink of water. I didn't put the light on so as not to disturb the other half and the toilet seat fell down and smacked me right on the back of the head.

Mercun plumbing doesn't cope too well though; and the flush always seems really weak.

Rich, I put soft close toilet seats on each of the loos in our house. Now I often slam other people's loo seats down because I'm so used to them
