A smallish lunch sized portion is fine but I find a main portion way to much.

Nicest I've ever had was in a little restaurant on Mont-Saint-Michel

I find it weird you can't get calamari rings from the f&c shop here. They're available everywhere in Aus.
And potato cakes, why aren't there potato cakes!?

WTF is the deal with Scampi, it's like gloopy prawns, why?

I'm with you on this Rich. I'm not too fussed by oysters, and whelks can stay in the fvcking sea. But otherwise, seafood is the awsumz.

I had a crispy fried whole sea bream when I was last down in Cornwall which was incredible (Portminster Kitchen in St. Ives). Just a whole sea bream, skin slashed and then deep fried, no batter.

I still fondly remember eating crab at Rick Stein's restaurant in Cornwall.

They’re curious things, they taste nice but they look like the partially digested food you find beside clubs in London at 7am which entirely puts me off them. Then you get the occasional bit of grit and it’s a full on gag reflex.

Not for me.

Cod and chips is about as 'fishy' as I get. Just the smell of crab makes me want to vom.

I spent a decent portion of my childhood in the Philippines and the sea food over there is amazing...and crucially cheap!

I also enjoyed the sea food in Portugal this year (don't normally take pics of what I've eaten, but this was good enough to justify it!)

I like a quite a bit of seafood but one thing that really switches me off is if I have to dismantle anything. Mussells are fine but prawns, langoustine etc... Can GTF. I like what's inside but fiddling around like a bloody primative isn't my idea of a nice meal out.

Oysters can fuck off too. Bloody awful things! 😂

This this this. Marv’s picture would be a Mr Bean-esqe nightmare for me. Same with fish, fillet or fuck off is the policy. I grew up by the sea so seafood is a big part of my diet and if there’s a calamari as I starter it’s what I always order.
I’ve always grabbed a lobster roll passing through Dungeness but last year my friend insisted I try a whole lobster at Big Easy. Never again.

Get wholetail scampi, they're rather less gloopy (due to not being reconstructed 'white fish' tat).

I've never quite understood the scampi/prawns distinction meself - but then I've never cared enough to look into it. I have scampi every so often and enjoy it, so that's good enough for me.
