Yes dull. However I can confirm both the M135i and Stinger have this function but only in Eco mode and I have never use that so pointless afaic.

Interestingly, in the Stinger manual the section on ESP has a massive warning about never coasting in neutral. Go figure.
Your opinion is very important for me. Thank you please.

You guys with your manual cars have been able to do this for years. Just another example of automatics finally catching up.

If the box is in neutral requested by the driver then it hinders the ESP’s ability to control the car, should you need it. If it’s the car putting itself into neutral for a coasting function then the ESP will tell the gearbox to reconnect the drive line when ESP is needed.

Greta Thunberg?

The Lupo and A2 3Ls had it a couple of decades back, along with stop/start (and other VAGs had it nigh on two decades before then. Like most things though it was probably first used in the '20s or '30s  ).

Saab 96s had a freewheel in the 60s, and Rover did in the 30s: http://www.bmh-ltd.com/wheelnut/wheelnut_1.asp

That's basically the same thing.
