I would highly recommend carrying a full-size spare ! Matching, ideally. This happened on a very very gentle leafy path not far from tarmac so I had no problem getting out. If it happened somewhere more remote you could end up stranded if you were relying on a spacesaver.
It didn't feel fast, but given the outcome, I think I might have to concede it was too fast Some adjustment needed from my end. My other recent off-roading has been in The Compact; a rather different driving style !V8Granite wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 2:09 pmThat is quite fast though. Something like that I’m normally in 2nd just above idle, so a fast walk. I’ve dented a rim from hitting a rock when I was concentrating on one side too much but it’s never damaged the tyre luckily.
Did you run standard pressures?
Can you get steel wheels for yours ? I’d imagine it has some pretty big brakes on it ?
