Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
Pretty awesume compared to an xr4i, but 216bhp looks pretty stoopid for that engine.

From the list below the XR8; https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C999261

Yeah, but that ignores the torque. They never drop below about 250ft/lbs. 300bhp is a couple of bolt-on parts away. 600bhp is possible with a bit more money.

Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
I was actually thinking about the XR8 when someone posted that Sierra on Facebook as my mate still has a Windsor in his lock up.
I thought the XR8 used the three door shell but I think I was getting mixed up with that version of the XR4i they sold in the US.

The Merkur XR4Ti used the same shell as the XR4i here with the split side window. The engine was a 2.3 litre Pinto with a turbo.
Theoretically a 351W should fit but the block is taller than the 302 so that might affect whether it fits between the towers, whether you can fit an exhaust or whether the bonnet will shut.

Yeah I looked it up.
I did think about the Sierra but I think my mate wants to see if the engine will fit in the off road trials thing he bought because he doesn’t like the Rover V8.

I like them lots, but my head just can't comprehend them being worth £50k

Was about to post the same. Also it is an auto, doesn't that run counter to the ethos?integrale_evo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 7:40 pm I like them lots, but my head just can't comprehend them being worth £50k

I was browsing on mobile so never noticed it was an auto. I'm oot. I'll take the Silver one instead for £48k. They are still mega priced - £50k is 996GT3 and 997 Turbo money, which kinda gives a bit of perspective!DeskJockey wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 8:03 pm Was about to post the same. Forum monetization is on its arse anyway, damn ad blockers!

I’m not usually that fussed about new cars but I really want a Jeep Gladiator and I’ve just found out they’re coming here next year.
All I need to do is find the £50k or whatever it’s going to cost and somewhere to keep it .

Ha! That's excellent. Might be a bit unwieldy for the school run, but a laugh taking the doors off in summer.
