Just came in to start a thread on this.

Don't think it looks that good. Can't imagine who'll buy it, Americans are upset it's ditching the manual gear box and cart springs. Everyone else will keep buying 911s.

The styling is too fussy. I’m still confused, are there essentially going to be 2 Corvettes now? The front engine one as well as this?

I quite like the look of the exterior, and as it's mid-engined I suppose an RHD version might not be out of the question... If new Mustang sales over here compared with any previous iteration that was LHD only are anything to go by, it might happen. Here's hoping, as I'm getting depressed with continual talk by European manufacturers of hybrids/electric only/autonomous, blah, blah, blah.

Of course they need to offer a manual version too or they can eff off!

No one going to mention the three million buttons in a line on the central pedestal (sort of anyway!)?

And they've done the usual thing of "it's <x> USD, which is only <y> GBP !!!!!!".

If you want one, it'll be more like £2y, right ?

This wanton disregard for forum convention is disappointing. I thought they'd stopped making it.

Rear is a bit fussy, and that tilted screen is awful, but I quite like that.

Or do you all have the memory of a goldfish? Last year the rumours from GM themselves were that the C7 would get a facelift and continue to be sold alongside the mid engine version which would be in a higher price bracket, although it’s clear now that they’ve not bothered and will can the C7 completely.

Yeah it looks a bit of a messy cheap Ferrari knock off, doesn't it. A shame really as in my head a mid engined Corvette could have been quite a distinctive and cool looking car. This Photoshop is the sort of thing I was hoping for:
Image

Its not even that different from the real thing, just a cleaner design.

Looking at videos of it the rear wheel seems way too small? Anyone else finding that? Almost like there’s way too much bodywork above it. It looks really odd in video.
