LOL, I didn't even think about bluetooth. That would be more sensible I suppose.

I wonder how cheap the early 2.5s are now...
Mine was £2k a few years ago. 66k on the clock, loads of history, lovely car really. Dan Webster had it after me and was also surprised at how pleasant it was.

Agreed. While I owned it I thought of it as a modern 356 Speedster. The later cars lose the delicacy of some of the lines.

I was tempted to slam it and fit mooncaps or disc wheels to it but managed to stop myself.

I thought this 996 looked decent? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-Porsche ... 3176561263

Perhaps apart from the grey interior? Dunno much about them.

If you’re looking for a plate, BOX 7R is going through DVLA auction next month. (£350 reserve).

That's the colour combination I specifically don't want: doom blue with salesman's slip-on shoe grey interior. Bleuch.

"GT2 spoiler"... Well that explains why he bought a blue/gray one... clearly the owner is blind.

I think the 996 style splodge shaped headlights actually look far better now than they did at the time, both on the Boxster and the 911.

Its a factory fit "Aerokit" Spoiler that was an option on the 3.6, it looks odd without the skirts that usually go with it. GT2 lol

The wheels aren't right either, they look more like a Cayenne style or possibly aftermarket.

That blue one has 997 alloys fitted which looks wrong. I've never seen a facelift 996 with that rear spoiler which didn't also have the Aero kit sills, but apparently the spoiler was available as a stand-alone option. I have to say I prefer the looks without the rear spoiler but with the front bumper and sills only, as per the Anniversary model:

RE 996, this one is top end for a car without Hartech rebuild, but it’s got the expensive ExE-TC suspensions and looks perfect. I bet it drives superbly.

Having very much enjoyed the drive in my Mum's Z4 this weekend, I've started browsing Autotrader for Boxsters too.

I can't see it happening for a long time/if at all (for practical rather than financial reasons), but it's nice to dream.

Another to see later this week, then will decide which I buy out of a few potentials (but one clear front runner).

Stop it. I want a Porsche now but the only ones I’ve ever had a go off (Macan, Cayenne) are beyond utterly crap :(
