Discussions have been made about taking over more of the garden as parking.

Mowing the grass is a pain in the hoop anyway

That’s cool, I’ve never heard of or seen a Fiat 850 before.

205 GTi the 1.6
Please take my hand and walk me through the rationale behind that guess
I was joking

Excellent backstory (apart from the crash, but if it hadn't been then this might not be happening now) 8-)

You could probably do with acquiring the barn with it...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_850

Have a look at the wiki, they did saloon, coupe, spider, roadster, people carrier and van, all based on pretty much the same mechanicals.

Rear longitudinal mounted watercooled straight 4, coil spring rear end, transverse leaf spring at the front.

You might recognise the rear lights from the lancia stratos and Ford gt40 😂

Excellent! And good luck. I'd love to see you actually progress this :)
Reminds me I have a couple of stationary engines in the garage that I should get working with my Dad this summer. He used to exhibit them at Rushmoor Steam Rally (sadly an event that no longer runs).

The background of the pics gives a hint to the state of the rest of the place.

I'm hoping they're still about somewhere, I did wonder if they were bodged onto one of his minis for driving about the farm, but the pcd would be wrong and why only take three? I'm guessing the spare stored in the front would have been made banana shape by the crash.

They were originally 12s, but the speciale got 13s so should be too hard to find something that will fit, they're 4x98mm pcd, same as pretty much every 4 stud fiat Alfa and lancia ever made.

Well it's no Hillman Imp but then it's no Stagea either. It is however CAF and with the known history is that bit more special 8-)

That’s a great find! Are you going to build an extension next to the Camper to store it in?

Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting started, although I'll probably spend a few weeks on it then leave it half finished like everything else.

Unfortunately the farm being sold is why it needs a new home, so may not have the barn for much longer.

I haven't quite worked out the finer details of the garage extension yet

I'm almost certainly putting a covered car port style roof on the side, and maybe an enclosed section behind it where my metro currently sits. The fiat should fit there with plenty of space either side.

Still, need to make sure I have plenty of things to do when I retire in 35 odd years time :P
