New Finnegan's Garage has my new favourite car on it.

Four door Ford Galaxy on airbags with a Cummins swap and nitrous. It shoots flames out of that chimney when it's on nitrous 8-). I've added the guy's channel to see if it's any good.

Anyone who doesn't watch Finnegan's Garage, it's worth going back and watching the build videos for the compound turbo Cummins he has in the ramp truck now too.

Must admit, I thought Finnegans channel was just podcast vids, I missed any build stuff before it happened.

Cleetus's channel is one I dip in and out of. Some very interesting stuff on there, but most of it (from what I saw) is mostly trying to find ways to throw twin turbos on things.

Which is fine

He updates it fairly regularly with stuff he's working on at home.

Mostly Blasphemi or his boat, but he has a couple of trucks and his wife's El Camino appears fairly often as well.

JLv3.0 wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:06 am The old one was definitely standard, and in the teardown episode he had taken it to a Barra guru. Wonder what they did to it? That Barra lump is a bloody staunch bit of kit.
Although I like his videos he doesn't half miss out big chunks. From opening up the engine to the 8 second pass - HANG ABOUT!
Then, "this is how we got there" a compilation of previous runs.. I was expecting more engine pr0n.

Watching now.

Just watched MCM at Worthersee. Made me a bit homesick for all the Germany roadtrips and carshows. That Edition One G60 8-)

Ah, I meant to post that the other day. Really need to make the trip to Worthersee.

I laughed at them getting continually pulled over .

Watched last night. Really looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Also got me wondering - just how much does something like that cost? Is it just a case of accepting whatever bill comes your way at the end, or do these sorts of places tend to try and operate to a fixed price?

I've got a feeling it's a bit of both. Some of the full builds are pretty much an open cheque book money no object job.

However having seen a few of their cars at retrorides they do lots of other stuff which I'd assume works to a fairly fixed budget.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gordon and....Callum, isn't it? - did a deal on the Escort works to reflect the publicity it would get them.

Now - here's a potentially risky one - Goonzquad - a very good mate of mine put me onto this channel as we're into the same sort of projectised / hands-on type of channels. I promise you that for the first 10 minutes you will think they're a couple of clueless rednecks, and yes, the "dude.......that's legit" nonsense will grate at first, but as the builds go on, you realise they're a couple of very hardworking, likable and enthusiastic lads without a hint of malice to them, and their channel is really enjoyable. And the work they turn out is really good!

I started with the Huracan build and recommend it highly.

They are surprisingly popular and hit a 1m views within 24 hrs on most of their videos.

I agree with you regarding their ethic and can do attitude, but they do talk some crap.

They do but you just can't get annoyed at them as they're so innocent and well-meaning.
