Re: Decent car YouTubes
Always hated the gt1 road car, it just looks awful with those arches and that ride height, and just looks all melted and horrible. The earlier one with bits borrowed from the 993 was a wonderful looking thing.

Definitely the pick of the bunch, looks to be so much more dramatic and that gearbox seals the deal.

They've done a great job of those videos. Though the music's a bit Coldplay.
The GT1 and CLK always leave me a bit cold as they're so hopelessly compromised. And that's coming from a Caterham driver The F1 is still the daddy. Obvs.

I'm kind of surprised by what seems like the complete lack of lighting out the back/fast section of the circuit. No, I've never watched the 24hrs live through the night.
I imagine the eyes pick up the road better than a go pro, but still, that must be quite exciting trying to judge the braking points in the dark at the thick end of 180mph
Re: Decent car YouTubes
You need a careful balance of light and not too many dramatic changes in lighting, as at those speeds, your eyes can't adjust to the light/dark quick enough, as its hard to light most of the track to a good standard, its best to leave as dark as possible.Beany wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 6:04 pmI'm kind of surprised by what seems like the complete lack of lighting out the back/fast section of the circuit. I think I’m going to have an accident. Feckin love the RS500 and Andy Rouse was a massive part of my teens as he showed everyone else how to drive them.....

Amazing that the gauges also appear unlit!NGRhodes wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 7:04 pmYou need a careful balance of light and not too many dramatic changes in lighting, as at those speeds, your eyes can't adjust to the light/dark quick enough, as its hard to light most of the track to a good standard, its best to leave as dark as possible.Beany wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 6:04 pmI'm kind of surprised by what seems like the complete lack of lighting out the back/fast section of the circuit.
