Re: Today’s want
That's ace, but I'd want the car as well for 5 grand!
Re: Today’s want
Prices are mad for Motocompos because they hit that spot between car/bike collectors and folk who just want cool stuff.

Re: Today’s want
50cc, that must be an exercise in patience and misery to actually use!
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Today’s want
50cc will move you around at city speeds alright, as long as you aren’t too big

They have (or had) a convertible one as well
Re: Today’s want
I had a 52cc scooter which I stuck a Ferrari badge on when I was probably 10, I remember it being slower than my bicycle disappointingly. But it was alright on pavements. Fuck driving a 50cc on an actual road.

It was broken, a 50cc bike will to 40mph no bother

Re: Today’s want
Or perhaps it had a single speed gearbox, like the motocompo...ZedLeg wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 8:52 pmIt was broken, a 50cc bike will to 40mph no bother

Re: Today’s want
Apparently the motocompo will do 18mph. You must’ve had legs like Chris Hoy if you could do that on a bike when you were 10

Re: Today’s want
I reckon it did 15 and I could beat that, definitely downhill and the South Downs was all hills. Both me on bike and on scooter uphill were also similarly shite though
Also it was one of these scooters rather than of the bike variety

Re: Today’s want
18mph is faster than most rush hour traffic in central London surely

Re: Today’s want
I’d love a motocompo. Another of those toys I should have bought 10 years ago when I had no money but have now hit the collectors / modern classics / retro zone.
Cheers, Harry

reads like it doesn't come with the bike.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Today’s want
I think they're selling it separately as they know they'll get more for it.

^ Yep, same as the silver one. I'm not sure if they originally came with the cars anyway or were just an optional accessory.

Re: Today’s want
I have a growing, nagging feeling that I'm going to end up switching the 7-Series for a Continental. I bought the 7 for commuting but that's just soooooo 2020 now. I can't see myself doing that again so the (relatively) good fuel consumption doesn't matter any more. Keep the luxury but add a regular frisson of excitement about whether it'll start or not.

They're temptingly cheap. Don't buy that one though. MoT history suggests that it hasn't, as the ad states, been "maintained regardless of cost" and somehow managed to reduce the mileage by nearly 30k miles between tests. Must have been a long drive in reverse (#FerrisBueller).Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 9:46 pm I have a growing, nagging feeling that I'm going to end up switching the 7-Series for a Continental.
