A tamer ‘Dan Webster’ road spec with 220 bhp n/a would do me just fine.
I'd like to try a 300hp+ one but I agree, that's about the sweet spot for me too, enough poke without being intimidating.
Maybe 250bhp would be about perfect. :)
Having had a many, a NA car with a standard K20 is great fun.

430 in the race one is actually ridiculous 😂

duncs500 wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2020 8:52 am Not sure where to post this, but has anyone on here been following the Lister Bell Stratos build thread* on SELOC? 120 pages and still going, but it is going to be bloody lovely when it's finished.

* - Apart from Dan who has done some work on it for the guy.
@duncs500 I have a SELOC account but I've never really used the site. Got a link? Is it Renmure? Also has an Ultima? He has a build thread for a Lister Bell Stratos on ScottishElises but it is a slow moving project.
He now has a separate build website. Hadn’t appreciated that he found a 3.2 to slot into it.

Most recent update. 322bhp from NA 3.2 sounds pretty good to me. 8-)

A/ less than a tonne
3/ And it looks awesome.

Yes please.

Only about 10 bhp per litre less than a standard E46 M3 engine!

Significantly more bhp / kg though...!

For a comparatively aged design that is only revving to 7krpm I still think that is pretty good.

Both of our RX8’s pulled 175bhp/litre.

Can't tell if he's sick of Ferrari or Lawrence had Seb's balls in a vice during negotiations... "Aston Martins only or no contract."

I saw someone driving what looked and sounded very much like a cup car through Morningside once. It looked wild amongst normal traffic. Can't imagine the hell the driver was in going through that traffic though

I am really tempted by something like this, in my head I’m being really sensible as it’s 4wd so great in the winter, 4 seats so one of the kids can stay home and dogsit while the rest of the family go on a road trip. Plus it’s likely to increase in value better than a negative interest savings account etc. On the negative side, I’m not sure it would be more fun the my mx5 without hitting licence losing speeds.
