Re: Today’s want
Certainly makes more of a statement than the Vito. Probably tows well too. Just the small matter of buying a controlling stake in Shell and you'll be fine.

The problem when SJ posts these things is seeing what the ads link to...;

I wouldn't imagine this a replacement tow vehicle at all, might come in handy for some mystery solving;

This one would require a smaller stake, afterwards...;DeskJockey wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 9:56 pm Just the small matter of buying a controlling stake in Shell and you'll be fine.

Re: Today’s want
I love the old flat front American vans, I think I’d have one the Chevy Corvair ones myself but they’re all cool.

I’d go European and have an Alfa Romeo Romeo (yes that’s what it’s called )

Re: Today’s want
It started with seeing this on ebay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185488018354 ... Sw~IViwwHG
It looks a bit wonky down the sides to me. I thought Binz were better than that so went a-googling...and found this;

@ZedLeg Purchase approved - you may proceed. Although I suspect it would be more usable in its current state than the one you propose.

Re: Today’s want
That's perfectly lovely as it is. Buy both of them. Job jobbed.
Re: Today’s want
It would be shame to tub it. So many drag and muscle car projects I want to do and so little time

It is quite a lot more than an SL500 though
There's an Autocar VHS of Dario Franchitti frying the tyres of one of these at a tyre test, sadly I got rid of it years ago. He's posted on Twitter that he'd love a copy of it if any of you have got one (Jobbo?)

Re: Today’s want
I have the Fast Lane audio cassettes but don’t think I have any magazine VHS tapes at all.

Re: Today’s want
I’m still wondering if I need a Cooper S Clubman. I at myself.
Cheap for an LCI, but only one photo, and it’s from the auction (prob BCA?) that they bought it from. It’s not all that far from here. I’d be very tempted to take a look but we’re busy today and then off on holiday for a week. If it’s a goodun it’ll be long gone by then.

Re: Today’s want
There's only one photo and it looks like its been taken with a 90s camera phone, but I do love me a Mini and those are pretty practical too. 3 grand? What's the worst that could happen?
Assuming its had all the big stuff done, looks like a good buy, I'd be popping along to have a look at least?

Re: Today’s want
And it’s a fake background FWIW, the brown in the foreground is real, it’s the concrete floor of the auction hall, the background is fake.
Big stuff done…. at that price I’d assume nothing has been done tbh. Nonetheless as long as the interior isn’t fcuked and/or Jobbo it’s quite a tempting idea.
Re: Today’s want
Be curious to see what this goes for.

Wrong drivetrain but it’s been years since I’ve seen one as nice as that
