Looks like it, gone into administration, needs £25m investment to run

I was thinking about this earlier, it seems like a colossal waste of money to my sensible mind now.
How about not having a sig at all?

It's a couple of years behind schedule as well, which can't have helped. I paid to have mine and my eldest son's name on the tail years ago. I forget exactly when, but it was before his younger brother was even conceived, and he's 8 in a month.

Whilst I’m sure building the car is very difficult...

They’re REALLY been taking their time with it. There was so much press, and sponsorship etc too

I wonder what takes so long? It feels like they’ve had a rolling chassis for ages...

Very odd

Anyway, I expect Red Bull will buy it

I did the same after watching Harris' video (that was 3 years ago).

I imagine when the MOD loaned out the Eurofighter engine they thought it would be a few years and they could stick it back in a jet soon
Don’t think that will ever happen!

I took Maxwell to see it 3 years again in London. Both boys have their names on it too.

An utter tragedy for British engineering, they were doing great work by all their work in schools etc

A real shame as it would have given engineering a bit more excitement for all ages.

Good call, it is right up their alley.

I would have stepped in myself, but if it went beyond the £25m I’d struggle I think...

Yes but all the great work and PR in the world, doing this stuff is expensive..
if it were me ploughing more cash, You would need some pretty big guarantees the cash doesn’t disappear the same way of the first lot..

I thought it was all voluntary work and all the expensive bits were given to them for free or loaned out to them? I imagined most the cash they needed was just for expenses like transporting the thing to various places to test and hire venues so surprised that they still need so much more money.

No chance, there will be a huge team of highly paid engineers and bespoke fabrication etc all to be paid for. Jaguar gifting a few supercharged V8 engines to power the fuel pumps is great PR but a job of that Scale and complexity is a huge undertaking.

It’s a vanity project the UK can ill afford just now.

I just retweeted this as it happens, but when I see brain dead TV fodder clearly getting massive funding/advertising revenue and then see genuine engineering being lost I just get riled.

Looks like they've found a buyer who's going to continue the project.
