I was hoping it would be Tyler Hoover. "I've just bought the cheapest 1000mph project car with clean title in the world."

Good news! But I can’t help think it feels a bit like one of those British car companies that comes out with a “supercar” made of fibreglass and powered by an LS7 and goes bust after making the prototype.

The whole thing leaves me cold

It’s been going for so long now, when they finally break the record I don’t think it’ll be that exciting

Maybe I’m wrong

I thought it was a bit worrying how much lock he had to put on to keep it straight after being hit by a sidewind and that was only around 250mph!

I’m convinced they’ll go supersonic and beat the current record.

I will be most delighted if they make it into 4-figures.

Don't forget this is 'stage 1' of testing. They haven't fitted the rocket yet. After this round is done I think they go home and fit the rocket, then come back next year.

It’s easy, they just use lots of duct tape.
