Nice flaps.
You didn’t fancy cleaning the car first?

Meh. It’ll just get dirty again.
Today’s main job - purple rack and solid spacer to replace the rubbery bit.
Today’s next job - the new springs for the 5 arrived. Ordered from Germany Tuesday lunchtime, cheaper than any UK supplier and arrived just as quickly.

Try using Autodoc app. I've just used it for upgraded Brembo pads. Stuff come from Germany and seems well priced with lots of branded kit.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 5:25 pmThis listing:

Toit.
That spring kit was £150 delivered so not quite as cheap but a good place to buy good quality kit.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’ve used Autodoc before and it’s been a bit hit & miss. Some stuff fine, some stuff took ages and some fixings that arrived for the Touareg were totally different to the website picture I’d ordered against.
Which reminds me I’ve still got a £10 credit with them to use up. Should have used that for the springs. D’oh.

They seem to be like a bigger, Euro, Euro Car Parts
They do have a lot of stuff. IIRC brake pads for the Touareg were vastly cheaper than anyone I could find in the UK.

I used mine again today after doing the swap to a purple rack. Another £40 saved means I can afford a takeaway tonightintegrale_evo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 10:30 am That was my reasoning, a generic cheap check at a tyre place is £40 odd. With the number of cars and sets of tyres we get through it should soon pay for itself, especially as I insist on running stupid setups on my cars.
IIRC you did the rack on your Compact too ? Did you use E46 inner tie rods so that the rack still vents properly ? I've read some people claiming it's not necessary but the boots on mine don't seem to like it at the moment so I think I'm going to order some E46 tie rods. Especially as my use will involve a lot of rapid sawing.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I put one in the m3, always wanted to on the compact but never got around to it.
I just used the complete arms from the e36 onto a bare rack. Without the lock washers as the e46 doesn't use them and there's no notch in the rack. Not had any issues with the boots but have heard of other people slotting the e36 inners or running universal boots with a link pipe to equalise pressure.

Nice. Is it a genuine item? I really want a GT3 front bumper on mine but they're silly money and I'm not sure if any of the non-Porsche ones are any good (especially the ones on eBay that are made in Birmingham )

The seller used to have a LS-swap 996, did it all himself with a new LS engine. He showed me some photos, very OEM
This is the car:

He was selling it recently and asking strong money for it. Nice car but it’s a limited market.

What was the asking price?
