Can anyone tell me what the hole next to the roof handle is for?

Cargo/dog net in the boot cover cartridge. If it's like the older models anyway. Back seats down, and then the cassette slides into the fixings on the backs of those seats. Net then extends out and hooks into the roof on either side.

On the e46 it’s for when you fold the seats, remove the load cover and slide it in the brackets on the back of the seat, and hook the mesh bit to the roof to close off the load space.

Have you tried reading the manual? ;)

My V60 has pretty much the identical setup. Speaking of which it had its MOT yesterday.

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Took the Yeti for it's major service and MOT today. Passed absolutely fine, as expected. It had had it's MOT expiry moved out by 6 months of course, but as it was in I wanted it done anyway, otherwise it would've been early Jan, same as the Merc. Not a good time to work on cars and get an MOT.

Am I alone in thinking they should wash the bloody thing when it's in for the day having a major service and MOT?

1178 Miles done this week in the Volvo, on less than 2 tanks of petrol which I was impressed with.

Less impressed with the amount of bugs stuck to it, there's massive swarms of the sodding things between Malvern and Avonmouth on the M5.

Mk3 GTi 16v, last owner had it for 14 years, it’s stupidly low and for a change I’ll be raising it up a little bit

"They release formic acid which leaves birds appearing drunk and staggering into the roads which can cause problems for motorists"

They're basically like the aliens in Alien/s. Which got me thinking, only prey animals would evolve acid for blood... they need to make a movie about the natural preditor to the aliens. :)

Anyway, I digress.

Picked up a chip yesterday. Autoglass are the insurance company partner to fix or replace. Will see what they say

Was just looking at batteries on ECP as it’s 40% off. The cunts have raised prices over 100% though so even after discount it’s more. AGM battery for a Defender costs from £400 to £535  Bunch of thieving cunts.

Edit - the most expensive Bosch battery is £175 on other websites online
