Bit of a result getting them to do that I imagine! Were you trying to sell the car earlier in the year (or is that a different 6 Series on here)
It was a result. I didn't think they'd cover it as they specifically exclude seals in their policy wording. I called them before I took it to the dealer, just to enquire, and they agreed to cover the work under the wear and tear section of the policy. So I was and am very happy. And yes, that was me. The seals went a couple of months after that post, and luckily while still in my ownership. I would've been ridden with guilt if they'd failed just as someone had bought it.

Only thing I wasn't happy with was the car being returned with no air-conditioning belt... Got that sorted now though.

I remember reading about someone on PH DIY-ing it having bought the specific tool for the job which itself costs an arm and a leg. Think he subsequently leased the kit out to others to DIY it as well.
Yes, saw that thread. Very interesting. I think I would have gotten as far as opening the bonnet! Far too involved for me. But if you're a bit handy, and don't mind investing the time, it isn't a particularly expensive job.

Well, I've been dumped so I don't need a car that can do 200 miles in one shot any more.

I quite like the Mondeo, but I do wonder what else I could get for it as a trade in etc.

I think I'll take a look through AutoTrader at relatively silly things.

Go buy a car you like. You're a car enthusiast so should know what's available in your chosen budget. It's not hard.

But hey - if you want to get like total lolz on what the thread will undoubtedly degenerate into - be my guest 😂

The real question is did she dump you because of the mondeo or despite the mondeo.

As we speak my subaru is in for new disks and pads. It looks proper fucked underneath now though. Rot everywhere. Probably the last money I'll spend on it bar fuel.

Lotus Failed MOT.

Brake imbalance on the front. Specialist is going to strip the brakes down tomorrow and see whats going on. Suspect a sticky calliper. Needs a set of pads soon as well but ill do those myself.

Tempted to switch from teh 1144's to Pagid Rs1-4. They are however double the price. Forum types say they are worth it though :?:
