I suppose they could be tenuously linking it to the 1920 Le-Mans winning models?

its always a bit embarrassing when premium manufacturers try to link to their racing heritage by putting a big race number on luxury models. Jag, Bentley and Ferrari are worst for this.

Exactly Rich, It would be like Porsche claiming Taycans were in some way genetically linked to 917s. In reality if you stick a pint of milk in the (air conditioned) glove box, they are more closely related to a milk float! :D

That’s the one!

I wonder if you can spec it to not have an ancient chunk of gimmick mounted in the dash…

That looks gorgeous 8-)

I’d have the number in a contrasting black though so it’s not so obvious, satin or something.

Minutes later, 3 women in mini skirts looking like a 1970s Joanna Lumley got in, the driver adjusted his Cravat and they headed off to Monaco 😎

I quite like that photo. If it were a bit less exposed it'd look kinda grungy.

Anyway, we all know that my photos are the most...special on the forum.

On the A1 near Wetherby a beautiful little TVR Vixen with a coat of red paint that it could never have left the factory wearing. It looked both fabulous and tiny.

Driving back from the gym this afternoon, I spotted an RX8 body on a jacked up off roader running gear. Wasn't able to grab a picture as I was driving, but very strange.

While getting the Boxster, they were working on a 355 Spider which was just on a ramp with the engine going, cover open and it sounded absolutely epic and really looked the part too. I've not seen one in a while and it really does look like its from a different era and way of thinking compared to everything that followed which was much more curvy.

There was also a very nice 993 C4 and I think one of the guys who works there has a yellow 996 Turbo - that colour on that model is really grown on me.

Last time they had a stunning bright orange, early 70s 911 Targa which is possibly the most I've drooled over a car in the flesh for a very long time.
Cheers,

Mike.

Saw my first GR Yaris today, one of the contractors on a site meet turned up in it. He said it went well in the rain on the way down. :)

I’m hearing mixed things about them now...... a couple of chaps on another forum didn’t get on with theirs and subsequently sold them. They said the cars were great but only when driven at limit.

I saw a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon in London, assuming it's imported as I don't think they're available here. I really liked it when I saw it announced but it looked a bit odd in the flesh. It has the usual Jeep body which is pretty small but then the bed portion of it is really long so proportionally its strange.
