One of these, and quite possibly this actual one because it was the same colour combo;

'Full respray on this rare TVR 400SX, one of only two supercharged versions of the 400 series that were produced in 1989.'

'350 SX

A non-factory model, this was a dealer special. At the former TVR dealership "Northern TVR Centre" in Barrow-in-Furness, Dave Haughins worked with Yeovil based DPR Forced Induction Systems and took nine 350i wedges and two 400SE's and added Sprintex supercharger units. Various power and torque outputs have been quoted over the years, with the best I've found being 260 bhp at 5100rpm and 294 lbs/ft from only 3000rpm, giving excellant mid range acceleration. It was claimed that the supercharged unit was a more driveable engine than the similarly powered 390.

The cost of the conversion was 3967.50 for the engine work and 1200 for the suspension package. An uprated clutch was also an option. This would have been on top of the price of the basic 350 which was 18,015 at the time.'

I was driving so no pics :(

I was behind an absolutely mint, white Sierra Cosworth on Friday - the three door, big wing jobbie (not the 500 though)

And when I say "mint" I mean you could eat your dinner off the underside of it - proper "concourse" condition.

Obviously only comes out on the nicest of days.

It just looked and sounded great - it was great to see one again...

Was there some classic car show going on around Lydden Hill yesterday? Must have come across 30 classic cars, really old stuff pre 50’s at a guess. Followed shortly after by a gaggle of about 30 Vespa riders.
How about not having a sig at all?

Epic stuff! But holy smokes, the 918 does NOT suit that red colour at all!

I didn't even bother taking photos of ordinary GT2/3/4 as there was so many. Particularly GT4s, I didn't know they made that many!

Photos are bad, it was still nice. Wouldn't be one's first choice however.

*Clears throat*

You are not approving of the COLOUR you say?? Why what an interesting observation. :D

ETA: I really need to put their next coffee morning in the diary given they're local-ish. Looks great.

ETA II: Saw a lovely looking 356 (B?) last weekend but no pics unfortunately.

Was that really worth it?!

Wasn't this more about you being an utter fanny about it, anyway? I think most of us would like or dislike any certan colour!

I don't care if it's doing it wrong, a flat nose DCR 930 Turbo is on my lottery garage list.

Those are some poor quality shots though Duncs. I couldn't figure out what the LF-A was on my phone this morning .

@JL: Totally worth it, sorry ;)

@Zed: I think JL may have something to say about the Flachbau. He really likes them IIRC...

I know, sorry. The LFA was particularly bad, it was in an awkward location in a doorway meaning the sun light ruined the front shot and the number plate glare ruined the rear shot. Anyway, as long as you understand from the pictures that there was some tremendous cars there.8-)
