Teh Spotted Thread
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I saw my first new 1 Series yesterday which was in a very nice blue colour, but it took me a minute to work out what sort of car it actually was. In the flesh, is has been absolutely thrashed with the ugly stick and is a monstrous item.
Cheers,
Mike.

Led there by an Autocar article mentioning a rally-prepped Peugeot 405 Mi16x4, I found this article about PSA selling off a load of rare cars from their collection: https://www.classicdriver.com/en/articl ... collection
Sadly the auction was a few days ago so no chance of putting in a bid now!

Saw a 156GTA estate yesterday. Still looks very good, but the squealing brakes didn't sound great.

156GTA sportwagon - correct parlance please, DJ - are very nice indeed, but as with all things automotive these days even the less desirable saloons are fetching silly money:

My humblest apologies! My only excuse was that it was typed while managing the DJlets, so I wasn't giving it my full attention.Matty wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 11:44 am 156GTA sportwagon - correct parlance please, DJ - are very nice indeed, but as with all things automotive these days even the less desirable saloons are fetching silly money:

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Again, mental money
I would have liked to have tried one when they were 6-7k, but fwd and slower than the e36 I was driving at the time put me off. I still think they look great though.
Theres a few really nice ones coming over from japan, but they all seem to be autos

A few of the tasty ones didn't sell. An old DS. Complete with what appeared to be towel seats and everyone’s favourite steering wheel cover.
Cool though

My mate who's had dozens of odd Italian stuff has a saloon, a wagon and a 30k mile 147 with the Q2 Diff, Alfa Big Brake Pack and Wheels. It's like new and probably worth a fortune now.Jobbo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 1:05 pmHOW MUCH??!!Matty wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 11:44 am 156GTA sportwagon - correct parlance please, DJ - are very nice indeed, but as with all things automotive these days even the less desirable saloons are fetching silly money:

It was my best mates car who sadly died of a brain haemorrhage on his 31st birthday. It makes me feel faint every time I see it.
