The others don’t remind me of my school trip to a prison where some ex-inmates had done so much cocaine that their noses were just large holes divided by a thin septum.

It's not just the size, it's how stupid it looks.

Save for a couple of naff looking niche models they were just starting to get their mojo back and make decent looking cars again, now they're all going ugly again. The new 2er gran coupe is a proper bloated underwheeled minger too.

The staggering thing is that BMW make 2500 design prototypes per year and that’s the one they settled on (so over 100 for each model).
They may also have a fall from grace like Mercedes in the 90’s as they’re going to cut car development times by a third and incorporate even greater cost cutting. Not what you want with a brand which already has iffy reliability.

My theory is that BMW have been infiltrated by an ex-Rover designer who was at British Leyland in the 70s.

Close to the prototype then, apparently the Chinese want huge front grills

Just had a look round a new 110 Defender. Looks loads better in the metal. Could seriously consider one in a few years.

993 in my ‘hood on Saturday.

Not sure white suits it and was also on the boggo 16” wheels which I’ve never seen in the flesh before.

Image

Amazing how small they look - barely bigger than the Clio in front.

The 16"s are really ugly wheels. 993 really need 17" Cup1/2.

I don't mind the design of the wheels per se (after all, they are essentially the same as the middle of the split rim RS wheels but without the outer rim) but the are pretty tiny and out of proportion.

Never seen Cup 1s on a 993 either - think they'd look a bit weird as are a 964/944 wheel in my eyes.

Terrible picture, as to be expected.

Sunbeam Rapier II/III (it has the kick up over the rear waistline)? Defo a Sunbeam. Owner came back before I had a chance to get a closer look :(

Yep its a Westland Apache with the radar unit over the main rotor. Saw one over central London a couple of weeks ago. Menacing looking thing.

Had a pair of apaches buzzing me at the farm a few months ago, assume they were using me as some sort of terrorist or military base training as I was lurking playing with cars and one of the buildings is an ex ww2 hanger.

At one point they dissapeared over into the valley, then popped up and chased me down a track down one of the fields

Only caught a couple of their passes, looked way more impressive and a lot closer in real life 😂

Spitfires been circling around since 10am which is nice.

At 11am there were 3 of them flying in formation with a Dakota which dropped a load of Poppys over Dover. I only saw a black plume from it as it was quite far away but took a picture as they came closer
