Teh Spotted Thread
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
A nice McLaren came flying over the bridge and in to our work briefly on Friday before speeding off. Unfortunately apart from the F1, I couldn't pick a specific model out of a lineup of one. Looked nice though, much more presence in the flesh than in the mags (regardless of which model it actually was).
Cheers,
Mike.

Posted this on ScottishElises as i remember someone on there has an Ultima.
Apparently my picture is of a car owned by Bill - one of 6 known Ultima up here in Jockland. I thought it sounded very like my '''8 and right enough it is apparently LS3 powered. Lovely.

Outside the local Halfords MOT place. It’s LHD and the reg doesn’t show up in the usual online places so I’m curious.

^nice!
I'm seeing a lot of these contractions around lately:
Toyota Crown Majesta, 4.6L V8, rwd:
Toyota Vellfire Gs (Gazoo tart up):
Toyota Mark II Blit, rwd and can come with a 2.5L turbo:
Evo wagon:
Nissan Laurel, 2.5L turbo rwd:
I don't know if this phenomenon is just an NZ thing or not but here is a nice example of it. Scallywags steal sirens from the local school/fire station, install them on their bicycle or car and then play music through them at soul rattling volume for a few seconds at a time before they melt.

Lincoln Continental Town Coupe. I'm not sure what this guy is the boss of, but there must be a lot of it
Also a Great Wall Steed, the SE model no less. Never even knew these were a thing before, it looked much like a Navara.

Saw a few of those on the Isle of a Wight. One proudly displayed an " ABS+EBD" on the back. Been a long time since that was worthy of marking out.
Edit: just looked up their UK website. Bad English and spelling mistakes all over.
Only one engine option too, 2L TDi pumping out a whole 139 PS!

This reminds me. I was behind a Pontiac Trans Sport SE today, proudly displaying that it has ABS. ISTR they always appeared huge on our roads when released, but it looked pretty small. Just looked them up - 3.1l V6 pumping out a frankly staggering 120hp, with a 3spd autoDeskJockey wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 8:32 pmSaw a few of those on the Isle of a Wight. Vauxhall’s still proudly proclaim that they have a turbo - what fucking car doesn’t
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Hey, don't knock 'em, I've had two cars with three speeds; a 1980 Scirocco and a 1982 Golf cabrio
I saw my first 19 plate today...on a lorry
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Couple of interesting spots today- Toyota Yaris gazoo thingy and first alpine I’ve seen- on the back of a recovery wagon looking like it'd had a journey through a hedge- looked nice apart from the damage
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Staying in Gunwharf keys in Portsmouth and behind us is a gorgeous white GT3 RS, current model.
Also a Mitsubishi Delicia.

Lotus Esprit V8 GT on the M25, was a 51 plate* (I think, someone pedantic will be along shortly to tell me I'm wrong). Looked like it got used which was great.
Are the rear lights from an AE86? The shape reminded me of them.
* plate had a Y as one of the first two characters. Then 51 OTR.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I had a good days spotting, an early NSX, a Fiesta RS Turbo, and a McLaren, (pick one and say it was that, they all look identical to me).
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Spotted this old land whale while moving some stuff to the tip
Also, the first one of these I’ve seen, scorching down the road
Luckily it never combusted as it went past

Tesla Model X in Gwarreds Real World (tm)
Looks pretty reasonable in a small shopping estate on a dull wednesday evening between Leeds and Bradford, doesn't it?
Sharp enough to catch the eye, but not so outlandish (in a basic styling sense - I know the gullwing doors are a bit out there in that respect) that it polarises opinion.
S'alright really.
