I believe some common ecu failure is also putting them all at risk ? A 147GTA thread on PistonHeads had a guy paying £1500 for one and for some reason or other they couldn’t be repaired.

It’s annoying, old cars are easy to repair, so are new ones but that 20 to 40 year old bracket has lots of very hard to make parts that just kill the cars off.

It was known issue - IIRC water used to get in. Back in the day I think the only option was to replace, but i think they can be repaired now?

156GTA's can be mega expensive to run, moreso than the 147GTA as they're older and (again, IIRC) seem to suffer from more rust issues. I wouldn't want one that had been sitting around.

The Z is cool!

And this time in the right thread: Saw a Merc EQC. Looks quite good for an SUV and a lot smaller than I expected!

The EQC is basically a GLC with a different front end and some different dash elements. Oh and it's electric of course, but it's not a ground up EV.

Spotted my first VW ID3 and Honda E this weekend just gone. I have a real soft sport for the Honda and if it wasn't for wanting some other ICE engine combos in my life first, I'd otherwise switch to an E I think. VW looked a bit meh

I saw this at the Lotus Specialists next Thursday.

Don’t think I have actually seen one out in the wild before. 🤔

white Ginetta G33. Rover V8.

I have ever seen one previously - in 1994. A yellow one. At a Junktion about 200m from today’s spot!

Luckily I already had the window of my hire van down - sounded glorious.

Polestar 2. As expected looks like an incredibly posh Volvo, roofline looked quite tall though

Saw a new Defender today. Five door in white, thought it actually looked alright. I'd have it in a different colour though.

eta, just went through the configurator again and £60k for the one I'd want

I quite like these myself. Apparently the haptic control is supposed to take some getting used to/be shit (viewpoint dependent) but otherwise they look like a great leftfield V8 barge choice. Sadly about out of my price bracket.

Spotted one on the motorway yesterday morning. Probably a press car since it was a 20 plate and had the big wheels which come with the pricey Ohlins pack. I quite like it, but if the makers had revealed the Volvo S90 and Polestar 2 simultaneously, I know which would get the compliments. And the lack of a Volvo grille on the front makes it look oddly like a Peugeot for some reason.

Nearly bought an IS-F a few years ago, and quite like the RC-F despite the odd proportions.

LC500 would be my choice though, love those. They've been resolute in the residuals, however, seeming to have been holding out at £50k+ for ages now.

Was waiting behind a M4 last night at the petrol station - nothing special till the driver got in and turned it on, briefly the rear fog lights flashed blue for a few seconds. I bet that’s a fun car to chase the baddies in 8-)
