$1.8m Singer
$1.8m Singer
Think I've found my new dream car
Not particularly cheap though!

Re: $1.8m Singer
I love that it exists, and find it very desirable, but I have real difficulty believing that price is anything like good VFM. I bet you could build something 90% as good for ~$100k mark.

All of that. I used to make the relevant lusty noises over Singers, but that latest iteration has crossed a line for me.
It's just too goddamn expensive and it's not super-cool-classy any more - it's a little bit tacky for me. In particular, the interior, and the centre tunnel most of all.

I had a debate with a mate about this, have you seen a "normal" singer up close?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:07 am I love that it exists, and find it very desirable, but I have real difficulty believing that price is anything like good VFM. All that cool photography and editing you'd have thought they'd photoshop out the fire exit sign and fire blanket on the wall.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: $1.8m Singer
Most of that money has to have gone on R&D for Williams to build a totally bespoke engine though, no?
I don't really like the overdone styling. Hate the far too big MaxPower wheels.

If they had someone would've commented that their warehouse isn't up to code
It might not be worth $1.8 mill, but generally with this type of thing it's worth what they can get someone to pay. I'd be amazed if someone could build something similar for less than a couple of hundred grand. Singers go beyond just being a tuned/tarted up 911 imo.
I like it.
An absolute unit
Re: $1.8m Singer
I don't think it's good VFM, but it looks cool. Interior isn't really my thing, but sure you could spec it to more your own taste. Especially if you paid that much for it.
Re: $1.8m Singer
They have not even painted the tyre lettering in white!
Re: $1.8m Singer
I’ve just read all that again.
Prices start at 1.8million. But “no-one is getting rich making these”. Yeah OK mate.
I love 911s (except some of the obvious dogs like the 996.1 tiptronic etc of course), but that is just stoopid - so much so that they need a superspecial word to describe them to wealthy punters “no more than 75 examples will be reimagined.

If I had the money I’d buy one
Then put the engine in something which is put together more nicely.

How about not having a sig at all?

I don't like it, looks like a right bitsa.
Cheque book car building at its best, nothing really fits or works with anything else.
I'm sure it's amazing, and I'm sure the person who has bought it treats $2mil as pocket change, but as a pure object of desire it does little for me.
I'm sure singer will cry themselves to sleep tonight after reading that.

Did you see some build quality howler on it or something then?
