Is "dirty fast" some kind of new superlative that I'm not familiar with ?

I actually live in Sunninghill. And looks like I’ll not be staying in Eversley now, so will have to meet you gents at the dogging spot at 10am.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 1:49 pmI hadn't realised you were so local. You, me & Jon in convoy makes sense.

Ok, SJ and I will see you and Jimmy there, or might see you on the way.

I'm heading off now. I've sent JonMad my phone number in the hopes that someone will give me theirs so I can ask which way you all went.

Well, that was a lot of fun. The Mini aquitted itself well and it was lovely to put two faces to two usernames and to see Jon again.
Everyone has very nice cars and appear to be working against the stereotype of "some cunt off of the internet".
Until next time, gents.

Re: Southern Meet?
It was a very good day, with Jon finding some great roads. As you say, nice to put some faces to the names aswell, and lunch was very pleasant.
Definitely up for doing it again at some point.

Yes but they’re still on the camera, might be a day or two to edit them.
Excellent day, managed to find a few decent stretches, partly from memory and partly from luck. And not too many single track roads. Great to meet you Ian, and to see Jimmy and SJ again.
I really need to get my air con redone. Car went well even whilst trying to avoid full boost while I wait to work out whether it need remapping.

They're on Twitter and Instagram; search for #ov9meet. Only joking, just trying to give you an idea how you could use those mediums
I took one pic, that was crap. Jon had his camera, so I was more than happy to let someone else take pics, as I make an iPhone X look like a potato camera.
ETA: nice pic SJ. I take it everyone got home okay?
Cheers,
Ian

Two of the cars today had yellow revcounters and black speedos. Only one reads up to 10 though.

Bah. Sick as a dog I missed this.
At least next time we all meet up I’ll have resolved my missing 30hp.

Judging by Sunday's evidence, 2006 was a good year for cars.

Re: Southern Meet?
Oddly enough, there's not many pictures of the Mini.
I didn't really see much of Jon's car as it was quite a way ahead and I elected to be at the back so I wasn't slowing people down.
SJs Aston was remarkably quiet until it was given a large bootful of revs when it sounded gloriously British. It also seemed very planted
Ian's Ferrari is almost inconspicuous.... Highlights were the lady giving him the peace sign (it was definitely that way round) and a guy walking into a bin while staring. The engine sounds amazing and is very shouty, in the best possible way. Also, the rear seems much softer than the Aston as when Ian floored it, the car squatted down before it fucked off very quickly.
I managed to work out an overtaking strategy for the day. If there was a space coming, I'd start my overtake before Ian or SJ and follow them through. It's nice to be driving with people who actually overtake rather than sit behind a dawdling Fiat 500.
There were some interesting cars driving through Aylesbury too. The Mclaren, Aston DB7 Volante and the 2CV that came into the pub car park significantly faster than the low slung Ferrari could manage. The White Range Rover with the registration GIANT P was also amusing.
