No need to see the spec, I’ll take one.

But it’ll be 200k and I’ll never even see one.

I love the 22B, so this should possibly appeal to me. Hmm.

Now 25 years later using the latest technology and materials, Prodrive has reimagined what this car would have been today.”

They didn’t exactly let their reimaginations run wild did they? :?

Yeah, I was thinking maybe £120k or something, but for over half a million quid inc vat I'd rather just buy an actual rally car.

Not that any of these will see anything other than the inside of a climate controlled garage.

Yeah it’s way too much money for what it is.

25 years of inflation more like

They think they're Singer.

They're not Singer.

It's never going to be a beauty so needs a monumental spec to justify that sticker. But ~1200kg and ~400hp ain't it.

I think that's just what it costs to thoroughly redevelop things.

It doesn't matter what these limited runs cost anyway, it's not really prodrives actual business model selling this sort of thing, presumably it's a promotional tool To get people talking about Prodrive and their abilities.

I like it, I'd probably save myself £300,000 and buy an original 22B though.

the interior has also been upgraded, recreating an authentic late 1990s Impreza interior
So that accounts for £500 of the cost I guess.

I guess if there's only going to be 25 cars sold, there's no economy of scale for any of the development or build work, but that price still strikes me a fucking expensive.

They weren't kidding when they said they were keeping the interior true to the original were they

As much as I usually like the reimagined/restomod kind of thing, £550,000 seems like a lot for a mid 90s Japanese car made from carbon fibre.

Saw it at the FoS. It mings inside.

It relies on people who owned a Scooby 20 years ago and are now misty eyed about them having made a lot of money in the interrim. And there has to be at least 25 of those.
