The grille is at least a normal size but WTF is going on with the rear?!

Re: New 2-Series coupe
It’s a mess of random bits chucked at a car, nothing seems to fit. Very strange. But at least it doesn’t have a beaver front end and a prolapsed arse.
Cheers, Harry
Re: New 2-Series coupe
I quite like the front, the backs a bit cheap looking but I'm surprised they've kept those ugly M wheels - they were always a bit lame on the old M135/140i.
Re: New 2-Series coupe
Hopefully the prices of the current M2/comp will fall a little...
Re: New 2-Series coupe
When I first saw the rear I thought it was crap too.
I reckon its not that bad after looking at it a few times - think its a grower

Re: New 2-Series coupe
I love that and prefer the rear end to the slightly dumpy one on the last M2 which I still thought was one of the best looking modern BMW's
Re: New 2-Series coupe
The M2 has always looked a bit plump, like a nice body was made and then they smoothed the edges and inflated it 5%.
This one looks horrendous.

Re: New 2-Series coupe
Looks like a practical version of the Z4. But quite appealing; the wheels look shared with the M340i rather than the old M140i. Interesting flared wings. Rear lights are the only thing which looks a bit wrong but if more BMWs get them, they could start to look ok.
Re: New 2-Series coupe
They are different wheels.
The new ones are the same 19s as in the M340i and more like the M2 wheel with a diamond cut face.

Re: New 2-Series coupe
I actually quite like that, in particular I like the up-turn of the spoiler at the rear...
Re: New 2-Series coupe
I don't think the back-end looks too bad but its very on-trend with a lot of manufacturers' current styling cues.
Cheers,
Mike.

I like it, apart from the light blocks look like some aftermarket shite
