If you’re not interested in what you get, Lexus and Toyota keep pushing “relax” on the radio where if you get it serviced at a main dealer you get a 12 month warranty- could be something to consider?

Seeing cars in that sector with 1.0 litre engines still boggles my mind a bit.

Same spec as my boring white goods car. It’s not a bad drive and can be quite quick across country but does try to understeer easily. Recent long drive got 55mpg, so decently economical. Would advise the 120hp version though, gets a 6 speed gearbox, a little more go, and the engine revs a bit easier
