How on earth do passengers react to something that quick on track... I'm thinking vomit could be a factor :?
Generally yes, after an experience day at MB world with a C63 on their track I had to stop and drop off the passenger after a couple of laps as he asked and was visibly green. It's funny how concentration staves off motion sickness.

I'll never be able to afford to run one of those but it's good to see it used and another living the end of petrol dream.

I thought that update was going to be bad because of how it started, very nice to see that wasn't the case, and the friends and family pics made your experiences seem all the fuller than 'ring pics and lap times can convey 8-)

Update! After really frustrating evening sessions this week with multiple early track closures due to accidents and torrential rain on Wednesday today was ultimately my last chance to get into the 7:30s for a lap time. Weather was great but from the word go the track was stupidly busy. I managed 9 laps every one of which was beset with yellow flags and subsequent track closures. But as the afternoon progressed, from around 4.30pm the number if cars was noticeably dwindling. I got a final almost clear lap in at 6.30pm (track closes at 7pm) and managed a 7:33.3. There was time for one final lap was I was so delighted with my time that I decided to bank that and have the discipline to come back another day to i prove further. It’s incredible how all the disappointment and frustration from the entire 9 days I’ve been here suddenly evaporated and it all became worthwhile :).

The day wasn’t without incident though. A young lady didn’t yank her handbrake on hard enough in the carpark and her Corsa rolled into my car cracking the rear bumper/diffuser. A bit of digging shows the part alone is £16k plus VAT

She accepted full responsibility though and produced the necessary documents. And I have a witness to verify in case it gets sticky

Overall a brilliant week and I’m over the moon with the progress I made and time i achieved. Can’t wait to get back over in a couple of weeks to keep improving and see how much more time I can take off 8-)

Congrats on the lap time. Wouldn’t mind listening in when she tells her insurance company what she’s hit 😂 sucks for you though but I’m sure it’ll get sorted

If that part alone is £16k+VAT then that's a £25k repair right there.

Ouchie.

Hope it gets sorted easily and keep us updated on the progress!

Yeah, embarrassingly for me I was comprehensively outdriven by a Honda with 350hp less than my car. I met and chatted to the guy afterwards though and bumped into him at the pistenklause too, Czech nutter, very likeable. Having met me after the chase I suspect he was being kind to me with the video title.

Remind me is 7:33 BTG time or full lap? Good job all the same! What was your PB with your GT4?

That S2000 was quick 8-)

Hope the repair gets sorted quickly and without hassle.

7.33 is BTG not full lap - an important distinction. GT4 BTG PB :geek: was 7:46.2. Interesting to compare the 2 cars’ official lap times as a % difference and equate with my lap times by the same metric.

GT4 full lap official time: 7:42
600LT full lap official time: 7:09

% difference in official times is therefore 7.7%

% difference in my current PB times for each car is 3%

I guess you can conclude from this that I was achieving more of the potential lap performance of the GT4 than the 600LT, which is what you’d expect, certainly at this stage in my ownership of the Mclaren.

Some other photos that I bought, taken by the trackside photographers. They’re about 10 euros a piece for hd
