It's a pretty expensive thing to do for fun if you're not going to buy the car!Foz wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:59 am From their FAQ
What happens at the end of the auction if the auction lot sells?
When an auction lot sells successfully on the platform, a 6% premium (as detailed in our fees section below) is automatically deducted from the winning bidder’s credit card. This is a fee for using the platform and not a down payment on the auction lot. The seller and buyer are then digitally ‘introduced’ to complete the transaction.

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Ive got a guy coming tomorrow to view it and ive had another guy interested today who made an offer. Told him id let him know what the guy tomorrow said as ive been speaking to him first.
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
GLWS! Hopefully you get close to asking, it's definitely worth that.
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
So initial impressions?
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Ooof. Nice!
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Viewing guy came for two and a half hours....Took the bastard wheels off to show him suspension pickup points...Showed everything else...Left saying he'd think about it.
Phoned back - "I'm going to leave it mate. Theres a couple of microblisters on the rear thats put me off."
Phoned the other guy who was interested. He's buying it with his nephew. So he's going to speak with his nephew and get back to me.

That sounds like “there’s nothing I can argue the price down for and can’t afford what you’re asking”scotta wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 2:17 pmViewing guy came for two and a half hours....Took the bastard wheels off to show him suspension pickup points...Showed everything else...Left saying he'd think about it.

Sometimes I hate car people, it’s not a fucking ornament
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Hate time wasters.
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
I'd have laughed at him if he'd asked me to take the wheels off. Get your mirror and torch out or fork out for a proper inspection.
But yes, timewasters deserve a kick in the wotsits. My old supercharged mx5 was an utter pain to sell due to them.

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Indeed. It's not like he's buying a million pound, sub - 1k miles supercar garage queen, or a 1 year old Merc. He's buying a well used 20 year old low volume British sports car that's been well looked after.
Absolute time wasting moron.

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
What a cunt, you're too nice for taking the wheels off for him, I'd having given him a wrench and jack and told him to help himself.
That's the type of cunt that even if he did buy the car he'd send you emails/texts every week about new problems he's found thinking he's bought it from a main dealer...

They'd probably end up damaging the wheels, the jacking points, or both.Mito Man wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:43 pm What a cunt, you're too nice for taking the wheels off for him, I'd having given him a wrench and jack and told him to help himself.

You wanna look under car? Cool - pay a garage or specialist to inspect it and I'll take the car there. Otherwise, off you fuck.
