For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Ah oK - had not appreciated that.
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
Something to consider I guess though, I think you can get the OEM wheel re-trimmed with that kind of finish too.

Mot passed - no advisory’s!
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
I'd still love an S1. They're just so iconic and my friend had a couple when they first came out - every time I see a picture of one I can immediately remember the sensations of driving it - something that's not happened with many cars over the years.
Cheers,
Mike.

Sale report!
Ive had 4 or 5 bites on the adverts but no firm offers yet. Got a guy coming to see it at the weekend.
Have spoken to collecting cars. They are keen to sell it on their platform but have suggested a low reserve of £10500. Which seems a bit risky to me. I'd laugh at a punter who offered me that much but would be duty bound to sell it at that price if the bids didnt go over.

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
75% of sales on there fall through by all accounts, all they are interested in is their cut..
Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
It's only been 10 days and it's a specialist car and it's covid and it's winter... unless you are desperate, I'd give it a bit more time!

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
my opinion is that its not depreciating (if anything, it's appreciating as you get closer to summer and the possibility of track days), so if you aren't desperate for the money right now, you hold out for the most money.

From their FAQ
What happens at the end of the auction if the auction lot sells?
When an auction lot sells successfully on the platform, a 6% premium (as detailed in our fees section below) is automatically deducted from the winning bidder’s credit card. This is a fee for using the platform and not a down payment on the auction lot. The seller and buyer are then digitally ‘introduced’ to complete the transaction.

Give it time and even then you've still got Foz's £5,000 to fall back on.scotta wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:56 am Sale report!
