Out of the blue I got a response from one of the sellers, that's a 8 week delay.
Now to see how long it takes to get an address to go and collect.

Woohoo, finally go the wheels !

Based on reported figures via google, my current wheels are 10.4kg (7x16) and these wheels are 7.9kg (7.5x16) each.
Not a massive saving as it turns out the 16s I have now are reasonably light to start with.

Now to decide what colour I should respray them...

Corrected, was meant to be the wheel size in brackets (7x16)

2.5kg is a decent saving! IIrc some tyre tests have their weights listed, if you were that way (ahem) inclined.

I was just looking and going up to 17 inch wheels would be 11.8kg (and the tyres would weight roughly the same, as though lower profile, wider).

Been pondering over wheel colour and mocked up what my wife decided was the best shade to go for (not my car, but same colour, just grabbed a random image off google). I personally want to go a little bit darker, but not as dark as gun metal/anthracite.

I would like to remind you of the satin-finish anthracite that @Maurice did on his (old) ‘xige.

Had a bit of fun working out how to get the tyres off, youtube was a good help.

Sadly whilst I was popping the bead off with my car, managed to catch and bend my mudflap, which in turn bent the bumper, its mostly straightened out, but got a crease on it, so will have to look out for a replacement bumper.
