What car should I buy?

Post by Jimmy Choo »

and why was it this?

Image

It's a 3 litre V6 Sovereign. 119k, filthy as Beany's mind but very well cared for mechanically including a gearbox service. It's a comfy cruiser which is what I wanted.

I paid £2,600 and the Saab was sold for £155 for scrap.

I'll do some later. It's a light colour. This is the one from the advert:

I don’t understand wooden steering wheels, but otherwise that looks great.

Well, you hold it in your hands and if you want the car to go left, you turn it anti clockwise. However, if you turn it clockwise, the car will go to the right.

It's got the fatbloke seating so when you turn it off the seat moves back and the wheel moves up out of the way. It seems like you would have to be really, really fat for that to be an issue, though.

Nice.

Is the engine same as the one in the Ford Mondeo ST220?

Or half an Aston v12?

That’s cool. Is the sovereign designation Just mean it’s longer wheelbase and can fit 2 bodies in the boot instead of 1?

Great buy. We had an X308 and I'd have an X350. That looks really nice and interior is lovely. Is it Oatmeal?

Gratuitous photo of ours 😂

Mmm. Whafty.

As to the engine, I believe it's derived from the duratec. It's got very complicated valve timing (VCVT) but not the ST220 variable length intake jobbie (VLIJ). It's has CATS but no DAGS.
