Ok so I’ve been a complete wimp and gone for silver :?

19” wheel - same as before
8” wide - same as before
45 offset (standard 50, 45 closest available)

£2100 to make my car look slightly worse than standard. Those pretoria rims are criminally fragile.

Is there a possibility, since I’m widening the track by 10mm in total, I may actually improve grip marginally? Or will i decimate the delicate handling balance of one of the best front handling chassis of all time?

I’ll let you know 🤔

I think they look better than the Pretoria, and if you are going for the same tyres I think you will notice fook hall difference in handling / feel.

Approx 500g per corner lighter based on web info (9.17kg per wheel vs 9.63kg for the originals.

Silver is less adventurous, but you know they’ll look good.

I doubt you’ll feel 5mm per side other than in your imagination

Ok Mik, you win. Unless I want to wait until the end of September the only colour available is your very, very favourite colour for wheels of all time - black. They’re £200 cheaper which will immediately be spent powder coating them silver

You mistakingly said Silver instead of Anthracite. Look how good Ross’s wheels ended up looking. 8-)

Edit: see HERE. Satin anthracite btw.

It would appear that contrary to my initial opinions, black is actually the right colour for this combo....

Thanks Mik. As I suspected black wheels suck. I really am a ‘standard’ stalwart and black wheels get lost in the arches. I’ll be painting them silver ish at the first opportunity but any other ideas? I do really like the anthracite on the lotus above

Pete revsRus popped round today on the premise of showing off his new wheels, but - hey, since he’s here - roll & posh bacon? ;)

I think they work really well 8-)

Thanks Mik, I’m very pleased with them. Although the OZ centre caps have got to go, VW ones don’t fit so I’ll have to figure that out
