This sounds like the start of a frustrating process.... Good luck!

It’s a resistor to go in parallel with the bulb, calling it “coding” is a bit of a stretch

This always seems stupid to me, one of the advantages of LEDs is lower power consumption, but then you put a resistor in series to burn a load of that saved energy into heat. At least on the E46 you could code out the lamp check and use whatever bulbs you wanted.

A "most excellent solution for the lights" I expect.

I love ordering stuff from AliExpress and the like, its a fun, cheap lottery and always entertaining.
Cheers,

Mike.

They're knackered. Only 5 years old.

Edit just got an email saying black circles got no stock. Brilliant. Looks like we'll be taking the mini away which is no hardship as it does 40 mpg not 20.

You may be onto something. I've put one in my motorbike and it's fine. Easy to remove just have to take the clocks off, again.

WTF?

I'd be returning them and just trying another "guaranteed to work" bunch from eBay tbh.

I got a call at the start of the week to say not to panic as another car on the ramp had some issues with parts so work didn't start until Monday afternoon.

My AliExpress replacement Boxster Badge has arrived and as expected, I think its for the newer cars so is smaller. I've ordered a genuine one which is waiting for me to collect from OPC when I get the car back.
Cheers,

Mike.

Wow. Is that due to brexit/covid/lockdown or all of the above?
