People responding badly to their errors being pointed out, then flouncing off ? I have no idea what you're implying....

Part of me would have played along with it, let him waste his time removing the wheel, getting the valve off then enjoy the warm feeling inside as he realises that he fucked up.
Although then you’d be stuck there with a flat tyre
How about not having a sig at all?

The microswitch has arrived and has fixed the roof. Praise the Lord.

The locking wheel nut key and a new set of locking wheel nuts have arrived.

The locking wheel nut key does not fit the current locking wheel nut.

For the love of fuck. I despair.
Cheers,

Mike.

Excellent! Has the weather followed suit?

Its a balmy 19 so yes, like the middle-aged-stereotype I am, I put the roof down to pick up the stuff from Halfords. And you know what, I’d forgotten how nice that is 😃
Cheers,

Mike.

FWIW on an old old car, when a garage airgunned my wheelnuts on (wankers) and I later tried to take off the locking wheel nut, only for the key to fail, I was able to drill off the old nut as it was soft as anyway. You just need to drill and remove the metal from one side so that it opens out its grip on the stud slightly, then hammer on any old socket and turn twist it off.

Thanks Simon

I’ll bookmark this for reference at 11pm tonight when all else has failed and i’m having a meltdown. That will also definitely be the best time to attack the wheels with a drill.
Cheers,

Mike.

Just looking at the breakdown of my most recent work at my friendly local garage. Fitting new pipercross filter, wheel bearing which a nightmare and droplink was only 175 pooonds. Quite reasonable I thought.

The airfilter is worth doing, part is 50 quid.

We are taking it to cornwall next month, maybe I should buy a boat instead

Yip, came last week and I've not had time to even open it! Will have a play tomorrow as I'm being left at home again like some sort of aging cripple.
Cheers,

Mike.
