Thing is, it's perfectly in line with all the other nonsensical sh*t you come out with, so to be fair, it's extremely hard to tell.

Looks nice! Will go read the thread properly now.

What’s the spec, likely price etc if you don’t mind me asking? Just trying to get a feel for the market at the moment.
Buy that one. Job jobbed 😎👍
I’m sure it won’t be that simple... it just can’t be!
Cheers,

Mike.

t’other day Broccers made that claim, refusing to produce anything to back it up.
Ah, missed that.

Broccers drag raced his Civic Type R against Mick’s Cooper S, so... drag race when you’ve got your 360!

Is this what counts as a wind up these days? Saying something marginal, being asked to back it up with proof and refusing?!

High comedy indeed.

I was about to do my usual "You don't want a Booster, you want an SLK55" until I looked and realised they've had something of a price revival and you now need more like £15k.

So I'll adjust - "you don't want a Boxster, you need to find another £5k and get an SLK55"

Wait until dan finishes his Elise and sells his S2000?

Of course, you might have to wait a while...

Keeping both forever!

I assumed if you want a boxster you wouldn't want an S2000....but given the choice i bought the honda for lots of reasons, despite the porsche probably being a better car, i'd rather own the honda.

Another one I was surprised how the value has gone up.

I thought the S2000 was always destined to be a future classic. I drove one but preferred the Boxster and M cars of the time.
Cheers,

Very happy with my 2006 3.2S - I can dig up the thread from this very forum where I was talked up from spending 6k on a 986 to rather more - worth it though. The cabin and level of fit is much better and it’s dynamically sharper. Everyone’s different but I find it plenty powerful and enjoy spinning up the rears off a roundabout from time to time.

The things to look out for are the IMS (06 onwards cars tend to be ok as they have the updated bearing) and bore scoring (the 3.4s are supposedly at greater risk... I think Broccers got his scoped pre purchase but I didn’t and touch wood haven’t had problems.

I got mine from an independent Porsche dealer with a good reputation (the excellent Northway), mostly because I felt it gave me a bit of peace of mind in case there were teething troubles. I had an issue with water ingress early on which they sorted for me without any fuss.
