Arnold Clark are giving £750 on top of any valuation they give to buy your car currently, bot sure what they're rates are like though.

Thanks, just tried them and their rates (on this car) are very bad.

Presumably if I sell privately I should get a simple sellers contract signed by both parties...
Cheers,

Mike.

Any joy? Should be quite a lot of interest as its well priced imo 8-)
Someone local from the FB group is looking to come and see it tomorrow.

Not a single bite from the ad.

I thought it was fairly priced given all the work done to it, but always difficult to tell.
Good luck.

Shame it's not Summer. Maybe @Foz can wait 6 months 😂
Yeah, its my own fault for selling at this time of the year! Have dropped asking price to £10,995.
Cheers,

Mike.

Wouldn't bother with AT - all my sales have come from Pistonheads. Always worth throwing it on the Porsche forums as well?

Dropping the price has had the desired effect, but has also attracted some right "roasters" as we call them up here.

Obviously a lot of people don't bother reading the ad and then stuff that's covered in there. There also seems to be quite a few people who want a one owner, 16 year old car for 10 grand, just so long as its in showroom condition and they can get it for 8 grand.

Its been an interesting day, but am talking to someone relatively local now who seems very interested (and is a nice bloke too) as he can see all the work done and seems to understand the sort of things which need sorted on cars this age.

Good one this morning via AT.

"I'll definitely take the car but only if it comes with a full tank of petrol and you knock £2000 off the asking price as I have to travel from England to get it. And it must have everything you say it does in the ad and the pictures."

Reminds me of selling mine last year *shudder*

The sheer volume of fucktards that don’t or can’t read an advert made me worry for this world.

I knew people wouldn't read the ad but I've been genuinely surprised by some of the things people are concerned about with a car like this - i.e. number of owners on a 16 year old car and things they're not bothered about - i.e. what mechanical work has been done and what work do you typically need to get done on a 16 year old car.

Yeah, I'm not enjoying it although the really nice guy is still interested in the car and he clearly knows his stuff about them so totally gets what I've done to the car mechanically and even the little details, so I'm hoping we can work something out with him.

Everyone else?

*shudders*

And of course one scammer.

This is all very typical of selling an older more interesting car. I had loads of daft offers on my M3. Stick with it and a genuine buyer will come.

When I was selling our 944S2 (a looooong time ago) I had a bloke from Edinburgh who was really keen and really knowledgeable. He made me a really low-ball offer though and we didn’t reach a deal - turned out he was the Scottish PCGB Chairman bloke looking to add to his collection for £cheap

That is a lovely looking car, if I'd sold my XF I'd have had that.

Not had a 2 seat car yet 🤪
