Re: Supercar Market Update Q2 2020
Interesting times for someone who’s cash rich and looking to start or add to their car collection. Once the prices drop will cars hang around allowing people with the cash to shop about or will cars then start to move quickly?
Oh and the word ‘actual’ seems to be defaulting to ‘actually’.

Actual issue should be fixed now. Forgot the update it from an earlier draft.

Good article SSO. As discussed previously it'll take a while for any pain to be felt but if you look at someone like tomhartleyjunior's sales of later he's shifted some decent expensive cars - now that means someone is selling them and why who knows.
Maybe this massive crash may never come, lets hope not

It’s different when you’ve got £115 million in the bank.

Now you’re asking, it changes every day More recently though it’s proven that most things can be delivered and working from home works just fine so having a completely silly line up isn’t as impossible sounding as it used to be.SSO wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 2:07 pmAnd what would be the money no object 3 car garage?Orange Cola wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 10:53 amIt’s different when you’ve got £115 million in the bank.
Mustang, GT40, Unimog
Or
Senna, GT40, F50
The more realistic “I’ve just won big on the lotto” list is much, much longer.

Really good article SSO and your point about aging collectors and changing tastes was something I genuinely never considered. That’s a fascinating topic in its own right.
I wonder if there’s a couple of Ideas for articles there, one which looks at the “typical” classics for this current generation of owners and what cars may become the equivalent classics for the next generation?

Do institutional investors have much part in the collectors market?SSO wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 3:46 pmThanks and that would certainly be an interesting topic for an article.Ascender wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:22 am Really good article @SSO and your point about aging collectors and changing tastes was something I genuinely never considered.
