Maybe if you save up some money, you'll be able to afford to pay someone to put the Elise back together?
Why didn't I think of that
they're Basically just a big meccano set- probably only cost you a few hours labour.

In all seriousness, I assume that you're flat out on other people's cars? It's a nice problem to have.

All of the above, although I am properly putting some effort into getting mine back together now, its officially off the back burner.

I'll join the "I had no idea they'd appreciated that much" brigade. Look like some of the early ones are still cheapish, but the latter (revised?) models are still fetching strong money. I used to see them around a fair bit, but I've not seen any in ages. Did most end up in ditches? Aren't the early models meant to be a bit tricky?

Surprised we've never seen a modern replacement TBH.

ive only driven one 100hp and I thought it was shit. Unbelievably flimsy and upright feeling. It was dismissed from the list instantly.

Yep that’s about the size of it, stinks of dog as well.

It’s only for carrying rusty shit to the powder coaters and electro platers though and it was a grand off eBay so I had pretty low expectations 😄

I’ve never driven an early one but the late ones certainly aren’t tricky at all, very safe handling indeed.

For a grand they make sense, couldn’t see the appeal at all when people were asking daft money ( relatively ) for them.

Yeah, but would it have managed 40mpg with a light right foot? Could have been a good buy for 3 months' Golf lease payments.

I’m pretty sure it would have as it’s the same engine as in my Mito
Drive it like Senna and you get closer to 32 though
How about not having a sig at all?
